Don't close our beach fight song

Check out our fight song for keeping Corpus Christi beaches open to all. The song is a creation of Fred Jarmon and Dicky Neely. Click on one of the links below to hear a sample. The song is available on a CD that you can buy from TXCBC. The CD has an extra bonus song on it.

Don't forget coming up on Saturday, Sept 9: Paddle for Clean Water & BBQ

Come participate to the nationwide 2006 Surfrider Paddle for Clean Water event this Saturday. The event will be held at Bob Hall Pier and every one is invited. We will meet at 9 AM by the pier and paddle out together. At 5 pm that evening, we will gather again at the Bob Hall picnic tables for a beach BBQ/surf/party. The plan is to just get together as fellow surfers and beachgoers. We plan to have burgers and dogs, chips and drinks, so come on out and enjoy the warm evening before those cold fronts really start rolling through. BYOB.

The Division of Nearshore Research at Texas A&M Corpus Christi recently installed a wave gauge at bob hall pier. Check it out here http://lighthouse.tamucc.edu/overview/151. It shows both significant wave heights and peak wave period. No more guessing wave heights looking at cams!
