The Division of Nearshore Research at Texas A&M Corpus Christi recently installed a wave gauge at bob hall pier. Check it out here http://lighthouse.tamucc.edu/overview/151. It shows both significant wave heights and peak wave period. No more guessing wave heights looking at cams!

wave gauge sponsors needed

i hope everyone makes full use of the new wave gauge at bob hall. the division of nearshore research installed this package as a service to the surf and fishing communities, at our own expense. i would like to install another system at horace caldwell in port a, but we need some backing. i think it would be cool if one or more local businesses (surf and windsurf shops, bait & tackle stores, fishing guides, etc.) could help sponsor the installation and maintainence of the horace caldwell, as well as continued maintainence of bob hall. please call or email me for details of what would be involved and with ideas of potential sponsors. john s. adams 361 825 5759 john.adams@tamucc.edu
